Your visit

Scared of the dentist? Start with a conversation.

You don’t have to start with treatment. Nothing happens in the chair until you understand the plan and agree to it.

Step by step

What happens at your first visit.

Here is exactly what to expect, from the first conversation to your finished smile.

  1. 1

    Talk

Tell us what bothers you about your smile and what you would like to change. No instruments.

  2. 2

    Examine

A gentle exam with photos and X-rays of your teeth, bite and facial profile.

  3. 3

    Plan

Your options, the expected timeline and the full cost, explained before anything begins.

  4. 4

    Treat & follow up

Regular, on-time visits until the result is finished, then retainers to protect it.

Before you come

What to bring.

  • Any previous X-rays or dental records you have
  • A list of medicines you take and any allergies
  • Your questions. Write them down so nothing is forgotten
  • For children: a parent or guardian at the first visit

Care tips

Mistakes that can make your treatment longer.

Skipping appointments

Each adjustment builds on the last. Missed visits pause progress.

Hard or sticky foods

Nuts, ice and toffee can break brackets and set you back.

Not wearing elastics or aligners

They only work when they are worn as prescribed.

Rushed brushing

Plaque around brackets causes swollen gums and white spots.

FAQ

Good to know before you visit.

Have another question? Message us on Instagram and the clinic will reply.

How long does orthodontic treatment take?

Most cases take between 12 and 24 months, depending on how much movement is needed. You will get a realistic estimate at your consultation.

Do braces hurt?

Expect mild pressure for a few days after the braces are fitted and after each adjustment. It settles quickly, and we will show you simple ways to stay comfortable.

Braces or clear aligners: which is right for me?

Both work well for the right case. After your assessment we explain which option suits your teeth, routine and budget.

When should my child have a first check?

Around age 7. At that point we can spot jaw growth or bite problems early, even if treatment is only needed later.

What can I eat with braces?

Most foods are fine. Avoid hard and sticky foods such as nuts, ice and toffee, which can break brackets and delay your treatment.

Do I need a referral?

No. You can book a consultation directly on our contact page.
